As a lvl 60 and (IMHO) an experienced mage, I have advice for budding mages who want to level up quicker. With the new talent spec coming out for 1.11, this may change, but for now I believe the talent spec I would use for quick and effiecient grinding would be this one: www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/mages/talents.html?0150505100514310000000000000000000000000000000What this allows you to do is have instant cast Arcane Explosion, uniterruptable arcane missiles, presence of mind, evocation, and arcane power. I think that using frost armors instead of mage armor is most beneficial while killing monsters, while the Arcane Meditation does allow you to regain some of your expended mana. Grouping monsters up and using arcane power combined with arcane explosion works wonders for massive exp gains. For one on one fights, arcane missiles cannot be interrupted, while presence of mind allows you to quickly kite with a frostbolt, or deal out some more damage with a fireball. Evocation and Arcane Mind allows for longer periods of time before sitting down and wasting energy drinking water, as does Arcane Concentration. This is not an end-game talent build, but will serve you quite well from level 25-40. At level 25 you have enough talent points to get evocation and instant-cast arcane explosion. After level 40, feel free to put points in another tree of your choice while you get the feel for end-game raiding or pvp. Hope it helps!

So then... Arcane as your primary talent and frost/fire as a backup? Am I understanding this correctly Sven? Truth be told I was planning on Gydgett having Arcane as the primary. It looks like a lot of fun. ^^
