My understanding of shamans is that they were meant (and in most cases are) to be a class that benefits everyone around them, perhaps more so than any other class. The manual says that they are the spiritual leaders of the horde and that they provide guidance to they're people. This kinda shows because of the huge amount of totems they get that provide bonuses to all friendlies in range. They can put totems down that increase attack power, decrese damage taken, refill life or mana over time, protect against bad status, etc. Also having two shamans on the same team doesn't become redundant like some other classes, because each shaman is only allowed one totem of each element at a time. All you have to do is coordinate which shaman will use which totem. Besides totems shamans are also able to buff their attack alittle bit and have access to insta-cast shock spells. What's neat about the shock spells is each one has its own special side effect, like shutting out magic for two seconds (useful for stopping a heal spell or drawing spell casting enemies closer), or slowing movement speed, or giving dot. In addition to everything i've mentioned shamans also make competent healers; shamans can even rez without a reagent. My shaman is currently at level twenty seven so i don't know how they fare high level. But as for now my overall opinion is, "Shamans Rock!"

Shaman is 1 of the best overall classes. You belittle them a little . They are much better then you make it seem. At lower levels they can only wear leather. But higher levels they get Mail armor. They also get the use of shields. They have great healing and buffs. Shamans are like a tank that can heal and do damage. Its kinda scary to see a melee shaman go to work. At level 30 shaman get Windfury weapon. 1 of the most powerful attack in the game... Read up on it and you will say wow. Caster shaman can do insane things with the Elemental talent tree. Shaman are a great class. I cant say they have any real problems. Or at least none that i can see. Then again im only level 23 with my shaman.

I belttle them huh? My review was nothing but adulating praise! I might say though that I might have erred in calling them merely competent healers. They are, as far as I can tell, the second-best healers in the game. My meaning was as follows: although shamans are the second-best healers in the game they are much better at everything else, making them seem merely mediocre at healing. How about that huh? No belittling there.

Great!!.. I ment nothing by saying you belittle them. I may have used the wrong word. I ment your not giving them ALL there props. They are an amazing class.
Dami got windfury weapon today. God he was killing guys in just a few seconds. I told him how much i hate him. And im sure he understands by hate i mean that im super jealous of his new spell. I cant wait to get to level 30 and get it.
