First of all, welcome to the Dragoon Knights! If you're a member or just stopping by to see what the site has to offer, our hope is you find something useful or entertaining.
A bit about the guild to flush out what you may already know. Dragoon Knights has been around since January of 2005, and those of us who have been around since its inception know a lot about the game, so don't hesitate to ask a question either in game or on the forums. We're a family oriented, friendly guild, which means two things. One, we're relatively small in the scheme of things because we would rather play consistently with a core group of people we know very well and are comfortable with rather than be lost in a giant guild where no one even knows who all the members are. Two, we're very relaxed. We don't have set schedules of play time, you won't get in trouble if you say you're going to be on and you can't make it, if you need to take a break from the game because of outside pressures, we'll be sorry to see you go and welcome you back when you return, and you won't be reprimanded or told people are too busy if you want help with a quest or instance. We recognize that real life comes first, and you have other obligations.
Now, that being said, we have many members who are interested in end-game (or even pre-BC) raiding. Which gets complicated since as mentioned, we are a smaller guild. To aid that goal, we have teamed up with a handful of other guilds on the server and are unofficially known as the United Guilds of Azeroth. So, join the chat channel "ugoa" in game, and you'll be connected to a larger network of competent, like-minded players who can help you do quests and get groups. We are always looking to expand to the point that we can handle raids entirely within the Knights, but until we reach that point of committment without turning the guild into something it doesn't want to become, the ugoa has been and will continue to be a valuable resource.
We have a guild website (obviously), a guild bank by the name of Tolfta, a teamspeak server curteousy of ugoa, and regular meetings both as the Knights and as members of ugoa.
The bank is run by Lochart, and takes donations of mats, gold, boe blues, repeatable quest turn ins, and anything else you don't want/need. If Loch or the bank isn't online, send an in game mail to Tolfta with a request and it will be filled as soon as possible. This can be a request for recipes, mount money (which is considered a loan), bags, or whatever else you may need.
Our rules are few and simple:
Please refrain from swearing in guild chat and over Vent/TeamSpeak. It is a family oriented guild, and while we aren't trying to shelter anyone, we encourage people to find ways to express themselves without resorting to the big seven.
Help each other out if you can. If you're bored/not doing anything/waiting for something else to start, see if you can power someone through a quest, or can craft something they need, or provide mats. Doesn't have to take hours of your time, just see what you can do.
Don't be obnoxious. This is the flip side of "help each other". Don't beg for money from guild members or the general public. Don't get in extended conversations in the trade channel. Just don't be stupid. If it would make you angry, odds are, it's making someone else angry.
That's the Knight mantra in brief. For information on the game itself including useful mods, and where to get the skinny about instances, quests, and mobs, check out the other stickies in this forum.
