As more and more additions that Blizzard puts into it's own UI, I found lesser and lesser use for Cosmos...
So.... Trayus and I decided to drop Most of Cosmos functions, because cosmos has been causing a lot of trouble in our experiences... and here are some of the UI Addons that we found useful if you hate cosmos ...
Additional hot bars: Came with the new patch!! yeah!!
All-in-one Inventory: No more going through each bag trying to find what you are looking for....
ui.worldofwar.net/ui.php?id=326
Atlas: Don't you hate it when you don't have the map when you are in an instance? and you are lost, and can't find the guys you are suppose to fight?
ui.worldofwar.net/ui.php?id=400
Gatherer: Mining and Herbalism made easy!... It will mark the spot for you after you gathered from it, and save it for later!!... also marks Treasure chests!!
ui.worldofwar.net/ui.php?id=277
Auctioneer: Wanna know how much a junky item worth to an vendor before you pick it up? Problem solved... Also, if you scan the AH, it will give you an average price of how much the item is going for on the AH... not complete accurate because of price changes.. but good to know...
ui.worldofwar.net/top20.php
Lootlink: Oh, remember that Awsome purple sword that dropped? you wanted to show the guild or someone else, but you lost the roll? Cry first... then get lootlink... it remember every item that you'll ever see in the game... and then you can link it to anyone anytime you want... (Remember Delf and his 10 Epics?)
ui.worldofwar.net/ui.php?id=330
BeneCast: Ultimate Healer/Buff Mod... No more click the spell and then click on the person you want to cast on... and no more accident wrong heals... just click the icon next to their name and heal!
ui.worldofwar.net/ui.php?id=340
Map Notes: Mark and Note the places that you have been to and want to remember for next time!!
ui.worldofwar.net/ui.php?id=769
Location Coordinates: Coordinates when you need to find someone or something... when you look up the coordiante on allakazham or thottbot
ui.worldofwar.net/ui.php?id=30
Recap: remember everything you and your group did.. and calculate all kinds of data for you very nice and easy to figure out...
ui.worldofwar.net/ui.php?id=859
Note: We do not have a DPS calculator included in the list of UIs... I personally didn't find it all that useful for me.. but there are plenty out there... so get whatever you want ... and if you know a good one, please let me know!!!
How to Install the UI you just downloaded?
1. Most UIs are downloaded as .zip files, so first you will have to unzip the file, and save it onto your computer (such as desktop or documents, wherever you like to put it so you can find it later)
2. Open the folder and then another folder named Interface, then a folder named Addon should pop-up.
3. Open the Addon folder, and then you might see more folders or a few files. now... HOLD...
4. Make sure your WOW game is turned off.
5. Go to Program Files in your computer, and find World of Warcraft folder.
6. Click on the WoW folder, find and open the Interface folder, then open the Addon folder
7. Go to the things you have opened in Step 3, and copy ALL of the files from that folder into the WoW Addon folder.
8. Close all the windows and turn on your WOW game. and hopefully that worked ^^ well it should...
How to check ALL of your Addons?
1. After you logged into the game and after your character list have loaded, on the bottom left corner you will see a small icon that says "Addon" click on it
2. A list of Addons should come up on your screen and you can turn them on and off at your on will...
Have fun... and please let me know if you have any problems....
cheer!!
