I was on the WOW main forum reading about priests... this is kinda funny, and TRUE... so I pull it off the web and edited a little with my own thoughts... It is about how frustrated a priest's life can be in a party....
= The group dies (we can heal, but we are not gods, maybe paladins or shamans are
go complain to them)
= You don't buff as soon as Fortitude wears off (I don't even have the highest rank of PW:F yet, and it costs 400 mana to buff (+20 Stam)... at lvl 31, I have about 2200+ mana, no way to buff everyone at end of fight or in fight when mana is not full)
= You ask for water (we are a mage's best friend, if they don't help you out, stop healing them sounds mean, but hey I bet ya it works, but most mages offer hehe... maybe they are scared... it's not like it costs anything... I had a mage that wanted to charge me for them once... speechless.... but then the group yelled at him lol)
= You heal, and draw aggro and die (yes, we have fade.. but that does not mean we can get rid of ALL the hate generated by healing... and sometimes it just won't cut it, maybe you should try to use your Seal of Fury or try Shield Bash...)
= You don't heal fast enough (I repeat, we can heal, but we are not god... and some people think they are invencible with a priest in the party. I always think 2 healers in a party is a good idea, for back up heal and back up Rez)
= You need to rest and drink ("No Mana!" hmmm I'm not sure that's english because a lot of people don't get it... I got bored trying to explain, so I just sit when it's safe and drink... "go ahead without me")
= You run away (when overwhelmed and wanted to stay alive so you can rez the dead... Did you know that would save the time for running from the grave yard? if things got bad, Psychic Scream and run...)
= You flash heal ("give me a full heal! that didn't even do much to my HP" .... did you know that the full heals are 3.5 and 4 seconds long? you might die... Most of the time Flash heal plus Renew will do the job)
= You Heal ("Use flash heal- it's faster!"... Heal is the most mana efficient healing, if you time things right and Heal can be used in and out of battle effectively and saves mana, so let us do our job...)
= Heal pet!!!!!!! (Hunters have the tendency of yelling at me to heal their pet, when they have FULL mana... what's the use for your mana again? Also, when I'm trying to heal party members who are dying, the pet is not first on the list, of course it will get healed and shield if it's tanking like mad)

Of course these are do not happen with every group, and I'm not trying to say that most people do that. I'm just trying to explain some simple facts about Priests and help people understand a little more about how Priests work... Frustration...
Not saying that all priests do their job well, because I've seen some really bad priests, standing there watching, cast a renew, standing, watching... la la la la la... uhm dude, you can do Shadow Word: Pain at least... and Don't run when you get a little aggro, just shield yourself, fade (lots priests don't use that spell), normally it will be ok..
A good party group really values the priest... I was in a group in stockades and both the warrior and the rogue asked me if I my mana was ready and they shout at the group for my low mana. Sometimes there are really nice groups that you just want to befriend all of them who understand the priest's job.
Well this is my Mini book about some of the sad times that a priest go through in groups/parties... Myabe you can add on to this... and maybe just some reading material for those who are bored at work (wink wink)
