I just wanted to introduce myself. I was fortunate enough to have been invited into the Dragoon Knights last night. My RL name is Darrin. I am 36, have residential custody of my 6 year old daughter (who also loves to play WoW!!), and wrapping up a divorce. I work full time as a Graphic Artist / Pre-press engineer for a commercial printing company in Topeka, Kansas. WoW is my first RPG experience, and I have loved it since last December. The first character I started was actually a human warrior, but only got him up to lvl 10. I then went horde! What I have considered my main is a lvl 60 Tauren Shaman - Shaq, a proud member of Scorching Sun. I don't have tons of time to go through MC on a regular basis, so lvl 60 got rather boring for me. I started playing around with alts. I wanted to try life as a tank, and I wanted all new quests and lands to explore. Martokk, the Dwarf Warrior was born. Shaq is a skinner/LW. I wanted to try something different, so Martokk is Mining/Blacksmithing, and of course cooking and first aid! I have been having tons of fun with the warrior, and plan on leveling up 60. The only thing I was missing over here was a good guild. After reading the guilds thread on the Silvermoon forum, Dark Dragoons had caught my eye long ago. The reason was it was presented as a mature guild, built around partnership and being friendly, not necessarily getting the best loot and being the most elite guild on the server. I know I don't have the time or desire to become the best-equiped, all-epic clad uber player with mad skillz yo. I am just looking to have fun playing a game with some friends in my fairly limited spare time. My playing style is fairly casual, going with the flow. I don't obsess over loot or rolls. I would give up some insanely hot epic if rolling on it would hurt someone else or my reputation. I like to help out whenever I can. That's how I found myself in a group with a coupld of Knights last night, I was just running through and saw them fighting Mor Ladim in Duskwood and I started whacking away.
So, after this long-winded intro. I will close by saying once again -- Thanks for letting me in. I look forward to getting to know everyone and having loads of fun.
