Bad news... there are no mines on that island where Darnassus is... so you have to go to Darkshore(Auberdine) to gather the materials that you need. I alway find Copper Vien and Tin Vien around the coast of Darkshore. Just keep in mind, that the mining points are always near hills or mountains, or big rock places... How to find mining points: When you learned mining as a profression, in your spell book the "general" section there should be an icon for Finding Mining Points, after you clicked on it, it should show up on the left of your small map, that will track/find mining points for you. Mining points will show up as yellow dots on your small map. If you put your mouse over it, it will also tell you what kind of mine it is. How to mine: You need to buy a mining pick from the Mining Supply person, normally near the Mining Trainer. Then you have to put that pick in one of your bags and keep it on you at all times. When you find a mining point, you don't have to equip the mining pick, if you just right click on the mine, your character will auto start mining. Normally 1 mining point will allow you to mine 2-4 times before it disappears. What do you do with the ore: The mining points will only give you Ores such as Copper Ore, then you need to find a Forge to smelt those ores into bars, forge normally can be find near the blacksmithing people... then you can use them for whatever you are making I hope that helped, and please let me know if you have any more questions ^^ happy hunting

Where (near darkshore) is a good spot to look for higher level metals? I'm finally mining 75, so I believe I can mine silver now...

I'm not sure I've seen silver in darkshore, if there are silver, probably underground, hard to find... I've seen silver in Stonetalon Mountains, which you go from Darkshore to Ashenvale, then through the tunnel to Stonetalon... Stonetalon also got Copper/Tin/Iron, and some mithril, so it's a good place for mining... but you need to be about lvl 20+ to go there....

Thanks, Derricka.
I have actually found a bit of silver (one vein) near cliffspring falls. I'll go looking in Stonetalon more.

In the central part of Dun Morough, I keep "seeing" veins that show up dim and I can't find them on the ground. Someone mentioned underground, but I dont' see any cave entrances, what's the deal. I'm talking about halfway from IF to the quarry.
Thanks

when the viens show up in a dim color it means they are underground... so it's probably in a cave or a mine or somewhere that's inside... sucks when that happens
