Hello all,
In an attempt to stop the member hemorrhaging and outdated pile of forums, I'm going to start posting a lot more things in and around these pages, as well as actively recruiting in game.
I'm gutting a lot of the website (posts about old patch notes, things "coming out" in BC, and dates of old guild meetings, that sort of thing) to clean things up and make it a little more current.
If any of you have any suggestions as to new categories, headers, the look of things, or general organization, let me know, as NOW is the time to revamp things to everyone's mutual benefit and liking. Make your voice heard.

Note: I posted this on the new website first. Consequently, all references to "this site" actually refer to the new site, located at dragoonknights.wowstead.comAs previously mentioned, I like this site a lot, but have a few issues preventing me from making full use of it, and this is my call for assistance. 1) One of my favorite parts of the old site was the link at the bottom which enables you to view the most recent posts in the forum. This made it easy to track when someone put something new up at a glance without having to scour the forums or even move off our home page. I would like to be able to add that function to this site. It currently has a link to view the most recent posts embedded within the forum page, but I'd like to be able to display something on our homepage so people can tell at a glance if things have been updated. It would be nice for other sections of the site (when new raids are posted, or new pictures) as well, but for now I'm working with the very basics. Now, I know nothing about computer coding, and a reasonable search of both the admin areas of both sites as well as googling for help have yielded nothing useful. If anyone knows how to put this in, I will gladly add you as an administrator on this website so you can take a crack at it. 2) Along similar lines, putting in your own code allows for far more control of graphics, overall layout, and design of the site. Again, since I know nothing, and put up the rudiments in about 2 minutes, everything up seems to work. But I know our old admins and undoubtedly a few DK still among us have an eye for the artistic, and if someone wants to spice up our site to make it more personalized to DK tastes, again, let me know. I'm probably one of the least ideal people to be in charge of the website since I know so little about coding. Happy to make posts and help with maintenance, but underlying design and ground up content creation is beyond me. Contact me in game or out if you're interested. 3) I'll bring it up at the next guild meeting, but I'm strongly leaning towards making this site THE website for DK. As such I'm looking in to ways to move our content from the old site to this one without having to copy and paste every single post from scratch. If it comes down to that I'm willing to invest the time, but surely there's a better way. Particularly with posts involving pictures, coupled with the fact that if I repost everything myself here, my signature will be tagged on every post, making it look like I not only posted the hundreds of things all alone, but had lengthy thread conversations with myself. So advice and offers of assistance would be appreciated. In sum, I'm severely limited by my ability with computers, so any and all help, advice, or offers to spearhead sections of this rather large undertaking would be greatly appreciated. In keeping with the idea that only a few people check this site at this point, I've made a duplicate posting on our old site to draw attention to it.
