I know it's early, but I think the guild should consider making a lot of the lower lvl characters, gatherers.
I have currently taken up Tailoring/Skinning for my Priest, but I'm sure this guild already has a high lvl Tailor. I always find it silly to be in 'competition' when we're all trying to help each other out.
For instance, if I come across a recipe that I can't use, or don't want to use, I'd put it in the AH. But if we had a designated 'creator' then all we have to do is send it to that person, and if they already know it, then they can send it back, and you can make some money off of it.
We can set up sections on the forums stating what each 'creator' can make and what he/she needs to make that item. Then the gatherers get what they need, or ask around for the items, and then it can be made for them.
Skinner/Miner
Skinner/Herbalist
Of course, you can try Miner/Herbalist, but you have to remember that you can only 'see' one of them on your radar at a time.
Not to mention...
Fishing and beast slaying for specific items.
The biggest problem with this is, that not everyone can play this game 24 hours a day. Which means that if someone needed an item right then and there, they won't be able to get it if the creator isn't there.
With the amount of people we have now, and the fact that it's still growing, it's probably even better that we have 3-5 main creators of a specific kind.
One final thing to mention is any class that get's a speed boost of some kind (ie: druid/shaman) would make an excellent gatherer.
